A Great Community Event, as well as another Fabulous Night Out
by: Anonymous

The Northern Territory Ballroom Dancing Association (NTBDA) hosted a Senior's Month Community Ball on Saturday 19 Aug 2017 which was proudly supported by the NT Government.

More than 80 persons vied for tickets to this popular Community Event ensuring that it was a very successful night. Many of the attendees said they were first time dancers and were there because they had heard about the NTBDA's earlier Sunset Dance which 'Word of Mouth' said was a fun, amazing value for money night out and was well attended ensuring its success.

Congratulations NTBDA on hosting a second 'WOW' of a night at the Darwin Golf Club at Marrara on Saturday 19 Aug 17.

The venue was dressed up to provide a lovely atmosphere equivalent to being in a private cabaret room. The Red tablecloths, candles and fresh foliage centre pieces and soft lights combined with the wonderful music of Mr Bill Roy provided an appropriate setting for the ladies and gentlemen in their beautiful 'After 5PM' and 'Evening Dress'.

All present danced the night away until almost midnight, dancing to Ballroom, New Vogue and Progressive dances, taking a short break only to consume the wonderful supper provided.

After attending the NTBDA's great dance in June and again with the ball on 19 Aug 17, I am looking forward to their next event.

An NTBDA Dance on Saturday 9 September 2017 from 7pm until 11:30pm at the MALAK Community Centre, Malak Crescent, MALAK. Tickets on sale at the door, $10:00 per Person and bring a small plate of supper to share.

Keep up the good work NTBDA and Thanks for providing more avenues to the Darwin Community to 'participate in'and enjoy Social Dancing'.

NTBDA hosts another quality and fun filled event in 2017
by: Anonymous

We attended the Sunset Dance on 14 Jul 2017, which was a fundraiser event for the Northern Territory Ballroom Dancing Association. It was the most enjoyable experience to be dancing under the stars right next to the seaside. Everything about the night was wonderful, eg, a picturesque sunset, lovely setting, tastefully decorated event area, good music, bar and bistro facilities, a co-opted Master of Ceremony who carried the night with his humour and expertise and created a fun and friendly atmosphere. For the cost of $10.00 per person, it was an unbelievable night with a lovely supper included. If the NTBDA Community Ball is half as good as the prior Sunset Dance then it will be another 'not to be missed' event at a tried and approved venue. The amazing price of $15.00 per person includes an even more scrumptious supper. We will be leading the charge to get tickets for this ball, so that we can repeat the pleasurable experience of an NTBDA night out.
