Bathtub Saviour

by Troy
(ACT)

We spent the night with mother and us two kids in the bathtub with a mattress on top. The roof went, the rain soaked the mattress and it held firm while the windows then the walls then the furniture, even the carpet on the floor...all went.

We had a cockatoo on the verandah that we forgot about, the steel verandah wrapped around his cage holding him there all night. He wasn't very impressed.

We lost our clothes ( of course) but had costumes in the car... so we were evac'd to Adelaide the next day dressed as a cowboy and Indian.
