Kay's grand-daughter Elle wears KayKraft
KayKraft - Hand Crafted Glass Beaded Jewellery- created by Kay and Mike Foley who have been making their own glass beads and crafting jewellery from those beads for several years now.
The jewellery is simple but very elegant and embraces three basic shapes, round, eliptical and bi-cone in a wide range of colours. The collection includes three necklaces; the single strand 'Princess'; the longer 'Lariat' the very popular 'Triple'and earrings.
The glass bead making came from a small exercise in jewellery making in which Kay used commercially produced beads, but her designs quickly became sought after and so Kay and Mike decided to make their own glass beads in order to offer a growing client list something truly unique.
After a short lesson in bead making, Mike set up a small workshop and over the past 5 years, Mike has developed a style which is quite gorgeous. "It's the simplicity and the near perfect shapes. No-one makes beads like us", says Mike. "We have found and are servicing a niche in the market place of beautiful fashionable jewellery. The product can be worn for any occasion, 24/7. And at $30 to $50 dollars a set, is very competitively priced and sought after now by discerning global customers."
