Darwin Transit Bus Centre is located at 69 Mitchell St in the centre of the CBD to provide connections to the airport, the Ghan Railway, cruise ships, Greyhound Buses and other commercial bus services.

Darwin Airport Shuttle

Airport Shuttle Bus at Transit Centre.

The airport shuttle service provides a 24 hour shedule to connect with flights arriving and departing from Darwin Airport. The shuttle can connect directly with city accommodation so trip times can vary from 15 to 45 minutes depending on passenger accommodation locations.

Prices start at $15 one way and $26 return, with discounts available for group bookings. Bookings are essential for City pick up and can be made online, by phone on (+618) 8981 5066 or in person at the airport ot the transit centre. More details here..

Connection to Ghan Railway Service

If you are travelling on a Red Service Ghan Ticket, this is your city connection point with the Darwin Railway Station, which is located at Berrimah about 15k's from the CBD. Platinum and Gold Ticket holders can also be connected via several of the city hotels, but you should check with GSR for details by phoning 132147 #3. This train shuttle service only runs when there is a sheduled train.

Greyhound Bus Services

Greyhound Bus passenger service office is located at the bus transit centre and provides ticketing and booking facilities for their national bus network.

Information and Souvenirs

The Transit Centre provides access to the Mantra Esplanade Hotel with The Darwin Holiday Shop providing convenient tour information, gifts and bycicle hire for the traveller.

The Darwin Metropolitan Bus service does not use this as a bus station, the regular bus services terminal is located a few streets away at the other end of the Smith St Mall.
