Budding talent
A Talent Competition brings out the best in budding local entertainers. This young singer plys his skills for a receptive audience on the grassy slope of Goyder Square.
The competition runs from 15th May to 15th of July with a first prize of $250 cash and $250 market money.

Busking at the Markets
While most of the people here are locally based, you will also find people from all over Australia who move north to take advantage of the warm dry season climate.

Busking at the Markets
Stalls at the markest sell everything from locally made art and crafts to fresh fruit and coconuts from local producers.
There is also a range of exotic imported items which you would not find in standard retail shops.

Palmerston is located around 20k's south of Darwin and is the fastest growing area in the NT. Originally on the Stuart Highway, it is now bypassed by a new stretch of highway which skims around the side of most of the residential areas.
