Fannie Bay, Darwin

Fannie Bay is known for its long, white beach, the old Darwin Gaol, the entrance to East Point, the Cool Spot Cafe and a variety of retail shops.

Located at the end of the old Darwin runway, now a wide avenue known as Parap Road, which is marked by a monument to early aviation pioneers.

The area is sure to be in the spotlight as 2019 marks the 100th annivesary of the London to Darwin Air Race. Another air race is planned, this time using electric or hybrid planes to spur on new technology as was the original race.

The Darwin Turf Club, East Point, the beach and Lake Alexander are well known destinations for tourists and locals alike.
