Darwin Cyclone Memories

by Gary Gibson
(Bundaberg,QLD.)

I can remember the rain and very strong winds,in excess of 320kms,which produced a high pitched screaming sound. When the flashes of lightning ignited the sky i could see, through the gaps between the ceiling and walls, cars and other objects flying through the air.

I was 10 years old in 1974,and I have very fond memories of my life in the Northern Territory, from 1966/7 until 1979.
