Dundee Beach

Dundee Beach is a popular holiday and fishing destination around 140k's from Darwin at the end of the Fog Bay Road. 

It is a small village with an official population of 207 according to the 2016 cencus, however it becomes a busy place during the dry season as tourists boost the numbers .

The new boat ramp provides better access for cars and boats for most tides and is an indication of how the area has developed over the past 30 years or so.

Originally mainly a launching destination for renowned fish spots at Perron Islands, Point Blaze, Finniss River and Bynoe Harbour., there are now around 400 permanent residents and a growing tourist industry. 

The Dundee Beach Social and Recreation Club was established in 1994 at 21 Lepanto Rd and is well known for the annual Easter Holiday fishing competitions.

The Lodge of Dundee is a bar and restaurant located immediately behind the beach and boat ramps which provides postal services, coffee, fuel, retail and 7-day dining.

Accommodation is available at several places with different styles of facility.

Along side the pub is the Dundee Beach Holiday Park with both budget and family bungalows. Both powered and unpowered caravan sites are available.

Deck Retreat is a spacious home with 3 airconditioned bedrooms, comfortably sleeping up to 10 guests. 

The Sholly Shack provides a 2 bedroom stand alone accommodation.

Skippers at Dundee offers holiday accommodation with 180° ocean views, ensuited, air-conditioned rooms and a host of other fabulous facilities.


It would be hard to find a more idyllic remote tropical location.
