Darwin Line Dancing

Darwin Line Dancing

Darwin Line Dancing is a community group. It holds four line dance classes a week for beginners through to experienced

Dance classes are informal and relaxed. No Partners! No dance experience needed.
There is no set timeframe as everyone learns at a different pace. You will learn the steps in time.

We dance to many types of music including Country, Waltz, Pop, Celtic, and more.
You will get many hours of enjoyment once you have started to learn a few of the line dances.

We have regular Internal dancing socials, and perform for community events around Darwin and Palmerston.

Come and try a class - the first one is free

All welcome

We are back to dancing again which is wonderful, with that we are practicing safe distancing in classes, if you would like to come and try Line Dancing give Nellie a ring on 0421 245 899 or just drop in and have a look.

Love it
by: Zinya

It's been 9 years since I joined Darwin Line Dancing class. I've met numerous friends along the way and made many friendships. I've experienced many new genres of music and dance and will never forget my time with all the people I've met.
I am especially thankful for my kind teachers Nellie and Jan. Thank you so much for the dance experience. I am motivated to keep dancing for the longest time and give my full support to Darwin Line Dancing.

I have been with Darwin Line Dancing since 2009, Nellie and Jan are great Support for informing and instructing,I attend classes 3 times a week. Socially it's fun and friendly, we have socials once every 2 months where we all bring a
small plate of food to share and dance.
We get together socially occasionally outside of classes. There are different levels of dancing, Novice beginner, upper beginner to intermediate, and whatever level you are in,it's a great challenge for your mind and body.
As a line dancing group we make you feel
very welcome. So come and try line dancing

Great dance group
by: Anonymous

I started Line dancing in 2013. The dance group was called Darwin Line Dancers, Jan was teaching then. Jan retired from teaching in 2015, Nellie then became our teacher and called her group Darwin Line Dancing.
Jan is still dancing with us in Nellie's group. Nellie does a variety of dances. The dances Nellie does are popular dances around Australia and the music is great.
I really love it,I have met many lovely people since joining line dancing. It is really great fun.

I started beginners line dancing with Jan about Sept 2011. I really didn't think I would ever learn. But now I'm in the Intermediate class. It really is so much fun, when we have a social I am on the dance floor the whole social.
