The Palmerston Markets are held on Friday evenings during the dry season from April to September with live entertainment, buskers, food and craft stalls opening around 6pm.

This young singer demonstrates his skills for a receptive audience on the grassy slope of Goyder Square.
"Every Friday evening the markets provide live entertainment, ranging from multicultural dancers, country and western bands, mainstream bands and a DJ who entertains the kids with their favourite music, clowns also put on a show with games and competitions and lots of prizes to give away."
While most of the people here are locally based, you will also find people from all over Australia who move north to take advantage of the warm dry season climate.

There is also a range of exotic imported items which you would not find in standard retail shops.
The dry season brings stall holders from all over Australia with a wide range of products.
Stalls at the markets sell everything from locally made art and crafts to fresh fruit and coconuts grown by local farmers.
