The Art of Mindfulness public talk,
Friday June 13, 7-9pm, Palmerston

Experience a still mind and begin to transform your life through mindfulness. Through choosing to live our life with mindfulness and awareness we will discover many benefits. Our mind will become clear and less distracted, and our memory will improve. By developing mindfulness we will gain the ability to enjoy every moment of our life. In this talk we will learn methods derived from the Buddhist tradition to improve our mindfulness in meditation and daily life.

The teacher is Libby Evans is an experienced Buddhist teacher who has studied for many years at Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia in Melbourne. With kindness and warmth, she explains practically how to find happiness by applying Buddha’s teachings in modern daily life.

There is no need to book or bring anything. The session will begin with a simple guided breathing meditation followed by a teaching and a second guided meditation based on the topic. There is also an opportunity for discussion, followed by refreshments.
