Cockroach gunman Kennans estate

A few years after Tracy (about 78-79) I was arrested for having illegal guns and ammunition.One of the guns I was arrested for was an old .22 caliber rifle cut down to a pistol. I used it to shoot cockroaches in my home which was an old sewing factory on Stan Kennon's estate. I was sure I was going to jail but the magistrate only gave me a fine plus court costs when the police told him about all the holes in the walls and dead cockroaches (big ones) on the floor.I am trying to find newspaper reports about it and the cops told me they cant find any records going back that far when I submitted a freedom of information request. Apparently it made the sydney newspapers but again I cant find any such articles. The case was briefly mentioned in a book (Tales from the Top End).
