Inner Peace Through Modern Buddhism - A Public Talk

by Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia
(Melbourne)

Wednesday 28th August, 7-9pm
Lyons Community Centre, 25 Damabila Drive, Lyons

Buddhism presents scientific methods for improving our happiness and good qualities. In this talk we will learn how to integrate these methods into every aspect of modern life. Gen Dornying will explain how to use modern Buddhism and meditation to let go of frustration, anxiety and other painful thoughts and feelings and replace them with peaceful, positive states of mind - the real solution to all of life's problems. Everyone is welcome.

The teacher is visiting Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Dornying. Gen Dornying is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia. He has been teaching Kadampa Buddhism for 10 years and is much loved for his warmth and humility.

There is no need to book or bring anything. The session will begin with a simple guided breathing meditation followed by a teaching and a second guided meditation based on the topic. There is also an opportunity for discussion, followed by refreshments. Class fee $15

No meditation experience is necessary, the talk is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators, and everyone is welcome.
